We connect Rhode Island youth with supportive adults, employers, community partners, and hands-on experiences that help them discover
their strengths, build real-world skills, and take meaningful steps toward their education, career, and personal goals.

Our small, supportive 4–6 week Youth Career Exploration & Workforce Readiness cohorts are designed to help young people learn,
connect, and grow.
Participants have opportunities to develop:
● Career & Workforce Skills — Resume building, interview preparation, communication, professionalism, and career planning.
● Leadership & Confidence — Strengthen your voice, set goals, practice leadership, and develop a personal success plan.
● Financial Literacy — Learn practical skills such as budgeting, financial decision-making, and planning for future goals.
● Career Exploration — Meet professionals and explore careers in healthcare, business, public service, skilled trades, and other
industries.
● Health, Safety & Wellness — Build practical safety knowledge, learn CPR/AED skills when offered, and explore strategies that
support personal wellness.
● Community & Connection — Meet other young people, mentors, employers, and community leaders who want to see you
succeed.
Opportunities Beyond the Classroom
Learning doesn't stop at the workshop.
Through our growing network of community and employer partners, youth may have opportunities to participate in career conversations, workplace
visits, job shadowing, community service, mentorship, internships, and other work-based learning experiences as opportunities become
available.
Our goal is to help young people move from:
“What do I want to do?” → “How do I get there?” → “What can I do next?”
Support That Continues
Every young person's path is different. YTNRI works to connect participants with resources and opportunities that match their interests and goals.
Youth may receive support with career planning, resumes, interview preparation, education and training pathways, mentorship, community resources,
and connections to future opportunities.
We also work with families because young people thrive when families, schools, employers, and communities are connected around their
success.
